Twenty-eight students from Culpeper Technical Education Center (CTEC) were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during an evening ceremony on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Chapter officers for the 2022-2023 school year were also inducted.
NTHS is a student-led organization that highlights the top students in career and technical education courses. To qualify for membership, students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average in the CTE industry pathway.
The ceremony began with opening remarks from CTEC principal Shaun Summerscales followed by readings from chapter officers outlining key pillars of the NTHS organization.
Then, 2022-2023 chapter officers were installed and pinned by a family member or person of their choosing. The newly installed officers are: President Hunter Lutz, Secretary Alexsandra De Leon, and Treasurer Bisesh Bhattarai.
Following the installation of the officers, Second-year NTHS members were recognized and then President Lutz led the ceremony, formally inducting the new members.
