Both Culpeper County High School and Eastern View High School have already scored big in T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition! Each school was selected as a $5K Fridays winner, earning $5,000 while continuing in the nationwide competition for an opportunity to transform their home field.

Friday Night 5G Lights celebrates high school football and the strong community connections surrounding Friday night games in small towns across the country. Throughout the 2026 competition, T-Mobile is awarding $5,000 prizes to 1,000 participating high schools. (https://www.t-mobile.com/brand/friday-night-5g-lights)

But the biggest prize is still ahead. Participating schools have the opportunity to advance to the finalist round, with one school ultimately receiving $1 million toward a home-field upgrade, along with a special tailgate celebration in 2027. Finalists will be selected based on factors including the school's story, potential impact of a field upgrade, and demonstrated school and community spirit. The finalists will then compete in a nationwide public vote from October 8 through November 8.

Congratulations to CCHS and EVHS on their $5,000 wins! Both schools now have their sights set on the next round of the competition. On October 8, the top 40 schools will be named finalists, with each receiving $25,000 and a T-Mobile Home Game Celebration. From there, voting will help determine four Division Champions, each earning $250,000 and additional prizes. The competition culminates on November 12, when one school will be named the grand prize winner and receive $1 million toward a game-changing home field upgrade.

Stay tuned for updates, and opportunities to show your Blue Devil and Cyclone pride as CCHS and EVHS continue their run toward the $1 million grand prize!
