Culpeper County Public Schools is excited to invite our school community to a special STEAM Weekend on Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, featuring two engaging events that celebrate the creativity, innovation, and talent of our students.
First, we invite you to experience the 22nd Annual CCPS Art Show, where visitors can enjoy outstanding artwork created by students from across our schools. The Art Show will be held at the Germanna Community College Daniel Technology Center (18121 Technology Dr., Culpeper) during the following times:
Saturday, March 14: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 15: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This annual event highlights the incredible artistic abilities of our students and provides a wonderful opportunity for families and community members to celebrate their creativity.
Earlier on Saturday, the community is also invited to attend the Maker Energy Faire, taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Culpeper Technical Education Center (CTEC), 17441 Frank Turnage Drive.
The Maker Energy Faire is a free, family-friendly event open to all ages and filled with hands-on, make-and-take activities. Attendees can enjoy interactive experiences including Legos, green screen movie magic, a cupcake bar, and 3D printing their own designs. The event will also feature drones, exciting door prizes, and food trucks on site.
With the Maker Energy Faire happening earlier in the day and the Art Show following that afternoon, Saturday offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy two exciting CCPS events in one day. Both events highlight the many ways our students explore science, technology, engineering, art, and creativity throughout our schools.
We hope you will join us for this exciting CCPS STEAM Weekend and celebrate the talents and curiosity of our students.
