At its meeting on Monday night, September 8, 2025, the Culpeper County School Board recognized local reporters and media organizations named to the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) 2025 Media Honor Roll.
Local media play a vital role in connecting Culpeper County Public Schools with the broader community. Through their reporting, families, staff, and citizens are kept informed about the programs, initiatives, and achievements taking place across the division. Reliable and balanced coverage also ensures that the public has a clear understanding of both the opportunities and challenges facing public education today.
Recognizing the importance of this partnership, the VSBA established the Media Honor Roll to highlight journalists and outlets who demonstrate fairness, accuracy, and a strong commitment to public education in their reporting.
By unanimous decision, the Culpeper County School Board has named the following to the 2025 statewide Media Honor Roll:
Culpeper Media Network
Allison Brophy Champion, Culpeper Star-Exponent
Ian Chini, I&L’s DJing & Event Production
Culpeper County Public Schools is grateful for the continued dedication of sharing the stories of our schools and students. Their work underscores the importance of community partnerships in our shared mission of providing the very best educational opportunities for every child in Culpeper County.
