Culpeper Technical Education Center recently held its second annual Trailblazer Trot 5K and Monster Mile scholarship fundraiser at Eastern View High School.

This year’s event had 79 participants and raised more than $8,000 to go towards scholarships for students who are dual enrolled with Virginia’s community colleges in CTEC courses. In the spring, those students who are dual enrolled can apply for a scholarship that will cover the costs of their course. A committee will decide those who are awarded the scholarships.

The inaugural event in 2022 raised $2,500 and provided scholarship assistance to five students.
