Sixteen Culpeper students put their math skills to the test at the Regional Math 24 Tournament held April 24, 2025 at Prospect Middle School in Orange, Virginia. After earning top spots at the local Culpeper 24 Tournament, these students advanced to compete against students from surrounding counties. 

In the 3rd grade division, Culpeper students swept the winners podium with Sycamore Park’s Eden Sung claiming the 1st place title. Mohammad Nosrat from Pearl Sample Elementary followed with an impressive 2nd place finish, while Zane Yost from Yowell Elementary secured 3rd place. Rounding out the top four, Rachee Wiles from Sycamore Park Elementary earned 4th place.

In  4th grade, Annee Huang from Sycamore Park Elementary took home 2nd place, demonstrating sharp thinking and quick problem-solving. Jackson Moffett, representing Pearl Sample Elementary School, secured 3rd place, rounding out a strong showing for Culpeper.

The 5th grade competition also saw impressive results. Anish Mishra from Yowell Elementary School clinched 1st place, and his teammate Parker Pratt followed closely behind with 3rd place. Yowell Elementary students proved they were a force to be reckoned with!

Not to be outdone, 6th grader Noah Wester from Culpeper Middle School earned a 3rd place finish, proudly representing Culpeper’s middle school students at the regional level.
