Culpeper County students delivered another impressive performance at the Regional Math 24 Tournament, held April 14 at Prospect Middle School in Orange, Virginia. After qualifying through the Culpeper Math 24 Tournament, these students advanced to the regional level and competed against top mathematicians from across the area.
In the 3rd grade division, Culpeper students Nicholas Ganias and Finnley Dulin, both from Sycamore Park Elementary School, earned 1st and 2nd place, respectively, while Luke Wingard from Pearl Sample secured 3rd place.
The 4th grade division also saw strong results. Zane Yost of Yowell Elementary School earned 1st place, followed by Eden Sung of Sycamore Park Elementary School in 2nd place, and Mohammad Nosrat of Pearl Sample Elementary School in 3rd place.
In the 5th grade division, Fletcher Dulin of Sycamore Park Elementary School earned 1st place, while his classmate Annee Huang took 3rd place, continuing a strong showing for the school.
Culpeper Middle School students made their mark in the middle school division. Anish Mishra earned 1st place, and Samuel Sung secured 3rd place, representing Culpeper Middle School with distinction.
These results reflect not only the students’ mathematical skill, but also their perseverance and problem-solving ability under pressure.
