Phoenix students enjoyed the Verdun Adventure Field Trip- indoor jump roping, building relationships, and fishing in the rain.
The GroundWorks Project enables CCPS students to partner with Verdun Adventure Bound and Rappahannock Goodwill Industries to offer career readiness and leadership development.

This year is the 238th Anniversary of one of the oldest-standing constitutions in world history. September 17th is Constitution Day, recognizing the date that the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created. The Phoenix Adult Learners (Post High) and Phoenix Alternative Education Program tie-dyed red, white and blue t-shirts to wear on Constitution Day to commemorate the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787. (A special thank you to Jennifer Perdue who provided her time. supplies and tie-dye expertise to all of the students in both programs.)

Here at the Middle School Academy we are learning ways to handle stress. This week the students created their own stress ball made out of a balloon and flower.
