Post High

At Phoenix, preparing students for success means looking beyond the classroom and toward what comes next. Our Post-High Program focuses on helping students build the skills, confidence, and independence necessary to successfully transition into the workplace and adult life.

Through individualized instruction and hands-on experiences, students work on essential employability skills such as communication, punctuality, following directions, workplace behavior, problem-solving, self-advocacy, and completing tasks independently. Students also have opportunities to explore career interests and practice the everyday skills necessary to obtain and maintain meaningful employment.

An important part of this transition is connecting learning to authentic workplace experiences. By partnering with families, community agencies, and local employers, we can help students move from practicing skills at school to applying them successfully on the job. We extend a big “Thank You” to our community partners: Culpeper Parks and Recreation, Culpeper United Methodist Church, Mountain View Community Church, Pearl Sample Elementary School cafeteria, Pepper’s Grill, Shawn’s Craft Barbeque, and The Culpeper.
