Building Skills Beyond the Classroom: Verdun Adventure Bound & The Groundwork Project

Phoenix Alternative Education is excited to continue connecting students with meaningful learning opportunities through Verdun Adventure Bound and the Groundwork Project.

Through outdoor challenges, team-building activities, ropes courses, and other hands-on experiences, Verdun Adventure Bound provides experiential learning opportunities designed to build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and personal growth.

The Groundwork Project takes this experience one step further by combining Verdun's experiential learning with career-readiness development. A partnership among Verdun Adventure Bound, Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, and Culpeper County Public Schools, the program helps students develop essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, conflict resolution,  interviewing, résumé development, and career planning
