
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:
The Culpeper County School Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed fiscal 2025 budget for Culpeper County Public Schools on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the County Administration Office, 302 N. Main Street. Parents and citizens are encouraged to provide input regarding their views of the educational needs of our students and priorities of our school division.
The School Board believes strongly that community input is vital to the budget process. All concerned Culpeper County citizens are encouraged to attend the School Budget Public Hearing.


The Culpeper Middle FFA Horse Judging Team members visited Virginia Tech this past weekend and competed in the Career Development Event Block and Bridle Hippology and Horse Judging Competition. Team B members consisting of Emily Krueger, Avery Edwards, and Lilly Delano placed 2nd overall with Emily placing 4th High Individual. Team A consisting of Peyton Delano, Sydney Smith, Makayla Bowen, and Olivia Aylor placed 7th overall. Congratulations! They will be competing in the FFA State Horse Contest in Lexington this April.




Congratulations to the CMS boy's basketball team on winning the BMSAC tournament. The Cougars finished with a 17-0 season.



CMS Spirit Week fun concludes tomorrow with Opposite Day: teachers and students dress like each other. Thanks to everyone who participated. Friday at lunch will be your last chance to purchase a dance ticket. They are $5 each.


CMS boy's basketball defeated King George 56-33 and will advance to the championship game on Thursday. CMS Cougars will play FTB Blackhawks at Culpeper Middle School on Thursday, February 15 at 6:00 p.m.

CMS Spirit Week fun continues. Wed-Barbie vs. Ken, Thurs-Color Wars (6th-white, 7th-pink, 8th-red), Fri-Opposite Day teachers and students dress like each other. CMS Dance tickets are on sale at lunch for $5 through lunch on Friday.

CMS boy's basketball winning streak continues with a win against Locust Grove tonight. The second round of the BMSAC tournament will be Tuesday, February 13 at 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Harmon invited students to stop by the CMS Cafeteria this morning to color a square to help create a poster to display on the bulletin board in the cafeteria in honor of Black History Month.


2024 District XIII All-District Honor Band participants from CMS. The concert was held on Saturday, Feb 3rd.

The CMS boy's basketball winning streak continued with a 43-29 win over Walker Grant. The next home game is Monday, February 5 at 4:30.

CMS boy's basketball will play Walker Grant at home on Thursday, February 1 at 6:00 p.m.

The boy's basketball team improved their record to 12-0 with a 47-33 win tonight against cross town rivals Floyd T Binns.

CMS Boy's Basketball continued its winning streak with a 40-36 victory over Caroline Middle School.

The CCHS musical, "Chicago: Teen Edition" opens tonight! Performances will take place this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:00 pm in the CCHS Auditorium. Tickets are $10. Come out and support the arts!
