SCHOOL BOARD LEGAL STATUS

The School Board of Culpeper County derives its authority from the Constitution of Virginia, the Code of Virginia, and the regulations of the State Board of Education.
The Culpeper County School Board members are officers of the Commonwealth.
The Culpeper County School Board governs the school division.
The School Board is a corporate body whose official title shall be "The Culpeper County School Board."
