The primary function of the Instructional Technology Resource Teacher is to coordinate, organize, and facilitate the effective use of instructional technology in the school setting through teacher training and on site assistance of technology integration. The ITRT is involved in providing on-site assistance to the instructional staff in selection of technology resources and solutions, conducting staff development in the areas of technology integration, modeling the integration of technology in all curriculum areas, assisting teachers with the development of curriculum materials and specific lesson plans that utilize technology, as well as providing technical advice and assistance to building-level users of technology.
