   Thank you for your interest in the instruction department of Culpeper County Public Schools. Our offices are located in the School Board Office, 450 Radio Lane, Culpeper, Virginia. Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Eric Conti heads the department and can be reached at 825-3677, ext. 3114 or econti@culpeperschools.org.    

    Approximately 7,300 students attend Culpeper County Public Schools. There are five elementary schools (grades K-5), two middle schools (grades 6-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).  All schools are located within a five-mile radius of the Culpeper County School Board Office.  By fall of 2008, Culpeper will have an additional elementary school and high school.

     Our department works with principals, teachers and parents to assist them in helping meet the educational needs of each child.  Among the responsibilities of this department are:

Regular, gifted, remedial, distance learning, alternative (including GED and adult education), and ESL education programs;

bullet

Curriculum and professional development;

bullet

Textbook adoptions;

bullet

Home-instruction and religious exemption requests;

bullet

Summer programs (summer school, summer enrichment, SummerQuest, etc.); and

bullet

Titles I, II-A , and III and Implementation of No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB).
