The Standards of Learning ( SOL ) is a major revision of public education in the state of Virginia as enacted by the Virginia Board of Education and by the General Assembly. It has the impact of law on local school divisions. The SOL program is composed of four major components: Curriculum Standards, Assessment, Virginia School Report Card, and School Accreditation. Details of the Standards of Learning program are provided below:
