Our Staff...

     Mr. Coulby has lived in Culpeper for the last 14 years and graduated from Culpeper High School.  He attended West Virginia University and earned a Bachelor's in Social Studies and his Master's degree in Secondary Education in 2005.  Mr. Coulby's interests are in all areas of History and political science with an emphasis on U.S. History and the Civil War.  He loves college football and basketball and has played soccer all his life.  This is Mr. Coulby's first year at Culpeper High School and is excited to return to his hometown to teach.

     Mr. Dame graduated from Old Dominion University in 2002.  This is his second year at Culpeper County High School.  Mr. Dame is a teacher of United States and World History I.  Mr. Dame's academic interest includes 19th century America, 20th century China, and Ancient Roman History.

     Mr. Dodson is an exceptional World History (AD 1500 to present) and U.S. History teacher.  He graduated from Madison County High School in 1998 and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2002 with a BA in History.  Currently, Mr. Dodson is the head coach of the Blue Devil J.V. football team and the pitching coach with the Varsity Baseball team.

     Mr. Gunter teaches AP Government and World History.  He graduated from Susquehanna University with a BA in political science; with an emphasis on foreign policy, and a minor in modern world history.  He attained his MS in education from Bucknell University.  His special interests include camping, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. Mr. Gunter also enjoys spending time with his three cats. 

     Ms. Harris graduated from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania.  She is a very energetic teacher who is looking forward to teaching in Culpeper.  As a history major, Ms. Harris has extensive knowledge of U.S. History and is interested in researching the holocaust.  She has also swam competitively for 11 years at the college level and would like to coach swimming at the high school level.    

     Mr. Hodgson is will be teaching U.S. History and Government.  Mr. Hodgson recently completed a tour of duty in Iraq with the U.S. Marines.  We are very glad to have him back, safe and sound.  He will be providing additional biographical information soon.

     Mr. Jones is a graduate of West Chester University in Pennsylvania.  He also received his Master's Degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in 1993.  He has been teaching U.S. history for three years, is married, and lists among his interests Civil War reenacting. 

     Mr. McKenna graduated from Aviation High School in New York City.  He was awarded a B.A. in History from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  Later, Mr. McKenna received his M.S. in secondary education from Old Dominion University.  He has since been the designer of the AP U.S. History and AP European History curriculum at Culpeper.  In addition to being a fine scholar and gentleman, he has been employed as a "bouncer" in the past making him a unique addition to the Social Studies Department.

     Mrs. McNamara teaches Advanced Placement Psychology and standard Psychology.  She will provide additional biographical information soon.

     Mr. Miller teaches U.S. Government, Sociology, and plays an important role in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  He will provide additional biographical information soon.

      Ms. Partin teaches Advanced Placement European History and World History (prehistory - AD 1500). She received her BA in History and MA.Ed in secondary social studies from The College of William and Mary.  Ms. Partin taught French for CCMS and CCHS for 8 years and then spent 2002 in China teaching English at Zhaozhuang Teacher's College in Shandong Province.  She rejoined the CCHS staff as a history teacher in 2003. 

     Mr. Stroup graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 1999.  Following high school, Mr. Stroup attended Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor's of Education in Social Sciences in 2003.  Prior to teaching in Culpeper, Mr. Stroup was a substitute teacher in the Williamsport Area.  He will be teaching Government and World History II at the secondary level and will also be coaching wrestling at FTBMS.
